21 Years!
April 1st marked our 21 year anniversary! Colorado Building Specialties was founded in 1988 by Julie Horsting, a CSU graduate with a minor in ICM. Julie's background in Construction Specialties includes experience as a Project Manager for ISEC and general contracting experience as an onsite Field Engineer for CRSS Constructors.

Starting as a Div 10 Specialty Contractor, CBS has grown in providing hospitals and schools with a large variety of products and services through the commercial construction industry, but is advancing in Direct Sales and Marketing to those institutions.

Trained in the installation of Hussey products, our prpoject managers (as well as installers) can ensure the highest quality with Hussey installations.

Safety First!
Because safety is priority number 1 at CBS, our entire crew attended the American Red Cross CPR and First Aid training. This workplace training helps CBS employees to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions, to recognize emergencies, and to give immediate care to ill or injured people until more advanced care arrives. The skills learned from the American Red Cross are essential when dealing with worksite injuries or life-threatening conditions. Every employee at CBS has been certified in CPR and First Aid. |

| CBS recently secured their largest contract ever with the prestigious project of the Air Force Academy Cadet Renovations. Working with industry-leading manufacturers, and products that are the top of the line, we are renovating all locker room facilities. Products include lockers, restroom and shower partitions, and shelving. The first, and largest, phase was completed in January. Completion is expected before the 2009 year end. |
